Health insurance remains a key perk for many IT professionals, but not for all. Skylum and VP Team found out which benefits are in the highest demand and for whom they are truly critical.
Among the benefits provided by the company, health insurance remains the most desirable. Almost everyone put this indicator in first place, except for Solution Architect, for whom 50% of them consider insurance important. Artificial intelligence/machine learning engineers and Full-Stack engineers are not inclined to consider medical benefits, only 58% consider this bonus important. Product Owner and Product Designer are also less inclined to consider insurance as a key benefit, 65% and 62%, respectively. For whom health insurance is the most attractive additional benefit, it is 100% of RnD engineers and product analysts.
Although English language training is one of the least attractive benefits, for 19% of product designers and 15% of project managers, additional foreign language training is an advantage. In general, when it comes to additional education in companies, these categories of specialists noted its importance — 81% of product designers and 67% of project managers. The least inclined to the educational process are mobile application developers and product managers with indicators of 33% and 37%, respectively.
When it comes to extracurricular activities, 43% of product marketing analysts find it important to relax with colleagues. 39% of Product Owners, 28% of Product Managers, and 25% of happy and secure Solution Architects would be happy to keep them company.
Solution Architects also don't mind taking extra days off with a paycheck. For 60% of architects, flexibility in their vacation is important. Al/ML engineers are the least concerned about the benefits of extra days off, at just 8%.
