At the end of February 2025, it became known about the reduction of staff at the Ukrainian IT product company Eddy and the delay in paying salaries to the laid-off specialists. A year later, the company reported that it had fully repaid its debt thanks to income from attracting new clients, including international ones.

As reported by dev.ua, the staff reduction took place in four waves, during which 92 specialists left the team. As of February 2025, the debt remained to 36 specialists.

The decision to downsize was made due to a lack of new investments: since the product was free in Ukraine, there were no sources of income. To remedy the situation, Eddy decided to change its focus to the international market.

"Currently, the company has managed to attract paying customers, particularly in international markets. It is these revenues that have allowed us to fully repay the salary arrears. In parallel, we continue to develop the product and work on expanding the client base. The company has fulfilled all its obligations. As of the beginning of March 2026 -
"The debt has been repaid in full," the company noted.

Eddy has offices in Kyiv and Odessa. Its flagship product is Eddy LMS, a learning management platform that was selected for funding from the Google for Startups Fund in Ukraine in 2024.

Currently, the company has 7 open vacancies.
