According to data collected by the editorial office of «Border» based on open Steam statistics for the last 7 days, the highest average download speed among Ukrainian providers was shown by «Lanet» — 121 Mbps. Next in the ranking were «Triolan» (90.7 Mbps), Vodafone Ukraine (89.7 Mbps) and «Maxnet» (88.1 Mbps). The top ten also included HomeNet, «Kyivstar», «Volya», «Ukrtelecom», «ExinTech» and Starlink with an average speed of 57.9 Mbps.
It is worth considering that Steam generates this data based on real game downloads and updates from its servers, and the providers in the list are not ordered by speed, but by the total volume of transmitted traffic. In addition, some companies are displayed under the names of legal entities, not commercial brands. Therefore, these figures are not a universal rating of Internet quality, but they are a good illustration of the real bandwidth of networks under load.
Globally, Steam has seen record-breaking traffic: over the past 48 hours, the service has transmitted up to 34.8 Tbps of data. Asia (primarily China) accounts for the largest share of traffic — approximately 13.7 Tbps, Europe — 11.8 Tbps, and North America — 11.2 Tbps. Ukrainian users downloaded approximately 20.5 petabytes of data per week, which is approximately 1,3% of global Steam traffic, with an average speed of 71.5 Mbps.
Separately, Ookla also confirms the data on Internet speed. According to the Speedtest Global Index for December 2025, the average mobile Internet speed in Ukraine is 46.19 Mbps, and fixed — 91.03 Mbps. According to these indicators, the country ranks 79th in the world for mobile access and 82nd for wired, having lost several positions over the year. The average world values are higher: 105.7 Mbps for mobile and 118.6 Mbps for fixed access.
Kyiv and Kharkiv are included in the Speedtest city rankings. Kharkiv shows the highest mobile internet speed (76 Mbps), while Kyiv is ahead of it in fixed access (93.82 Mbps). Both cities, however, have lost positions in the global rankings over the past year, which analysts attribute to the consequences of Russian attacks on energy infrastructure and unstable network power supply.
