According to DOU, the changes are related to updating the structure of the marketing department.
"The new marketing structure is planned to be made more compact and flexible. Some of the internal expertise will be combined with the experience of external partners, in particular for a better understanding of local markets. The company also wants the team to focus more on user needs and implement solutions faster," the publication quotes a source at MacPaw.
In general, the reason for the cuts is a review of the company’s goals and needs, although the influence of AI on this decision is also present: they explained that AI has changed the roles and skills required to work in marketing, so the new structure will be built in such a way that teams can use these tools more effectively.
The laid-off workers will be paid compensation in the amount of two months' salary. They will also be allowed to keep their work equipment and other benefits until the end of the year.
As we wrote earlier, layoffs at the international IT company PandaDoc affected the Ukrainian office.
Meanwhile, EdTech company Headway Inc. cut 16% of its staff in September to focus on promising areas.
