Clearly, an international online therapy platform founded by Ukrainian entrepreneurs and registered in the US, has raised €1.352 million in investments. According to Startup Kitchen, Clearly combines video sessions with licensed psychotherapists, 24/7 support from AI companions, and autonomous AI-powered therapy. The platform targets both individual clients and businesses, providing solutions to reduce burnout and support employee mental health.
The startup was founded by Ukrainians before the full-scale invasion. Despite the war, the team not only preserved the business, but also brought it to the leaders of the Ukrainian market. Today, Clearly operates in Poland and Spain, and is also preparing to launch in Brazil and the USA. The platform serves over 20,000 therapy sessions each month and generates over $600,000 in revenue, remaining profitable.
According to Jan Staniek, managing partner of Purple Ventures, Clearly demonstrates «a combination of a strong mission and a compelling business model,» which led to one of the fund’s largest investments. In addition to Purple Ventures, Pragmatech Ventures and angel investor Dmytro Orel also participated in the round. $150,000 of the total amount came in the form of non-repayable grants.
Clearly is currently completing the development of an autonomous AI therapy tool and preparing to launch an English- and Spanish-language service in the US. The company invests a quarter of all funds in research and development, and plans to double this share after the investment. More than 1,000 certified specialists already work with Clearly, and the queue of people wishing to join the team continues to grow.
The global mental health market is growing rapidly and could exceed $475 billion by 2027. Amid the demand for digital solutions in psychotherapy, a growing number of AI startups are trying to combine a personalized approach with the scalability of technology. Clearly demonstrates that combining human expertise and AI can be not only effective, but also profitable on a global scale.
