The Ministry of Defense announced the development of an information and communication system that should provide state assurance of the quality of weapons and military equipment.
This is reported by the website of the Ministry of Defense. The new digital platform is designed to increase the transparency of defense procurement and trust in domestic manufacturers. It automates and unifies quality control procedures, will allow for faster coordination of processes and avoid delays in the delivery of equipment to the front. In addition, the system is expected to contribute to better planning of work and more effective control of the fulfillment of manufacturers' obligations.
A test open part of the system is already available on the Ministry of Defense website. There you can find a description of the key mechanisms of operation, the current legislative framework, and NATO AQAP series standards that have been adopted in Ukraine as military standards. For defense-industrial complex enterprises, this information will become the basis for harmonizing production processes with international requirements.
A feature of the solution is that the system will cover the entire quality assurance cycle — from the initial verification of product compliance to control over its use in the military. This will reduce the risks of supplying low-quality equipment and speed up the adoption of management decisions.
The Ministry of Defense emphasizes that the digitalization of defense procurement processes is part of a comprehensive strategy. It should ensure transparent cooperation between the state and defense industry enterprises, as well as compliance of Ukrainian quality standards with international approaches in the defense industry.
