The Ministry of Digital Transformation, together with the Ministry of Internal Affairs, has launched a new feature in the «Diya» application. Now Ukrainians can apply for a replacement of their vehicle registration certificate online and receive the document by courier or at the nearest branch.
The launch of the service was announced on the Telegram channel of the Ministry of Digital Affairs. The updated service allows you to replace a vehicle registration certificate without visiting a service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The service is available in several cases: if personal data has changed, the document has been lost or damaged, the license plate has been changed, or you need to switch from a physical format to a digital one (or vice versa).
To use the service, you need to go to the «Diya» application, select the «Services» section, go to the «Drivers» section and click «Replacement of technical passport». After filling out the application, the user can choose a convenient delivery method: by courier or to a Ukrposhta branch. The service must be paid for within 24 hours.
Important: if the vehicle’s technical specifications (fuel type, engine capacity, or body color) have changed, the applicant will have to contact the Ministry of Internal Affairs service center in person.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Main Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, SE Infotech, and JSC Ukrposhta were involved in the launch of the service.
The «Diya» application continues to expand the list of online government services. Previously, the functions of replacing a driver’s license, issuing several types of social payments, and an electronic pension certificate were added. Digital transformation is gradually reducing the need for physical visits to government institutions, especially in times of war.
