According to DOU, the product was launched in beta mode to focus on the quality of the user experience, stability and security. Mono describes that moderation regularly encounters «creative» users: someone tried to place ads about «secret materials» regarding monobank branches or sell cars, although the service currently works with parcels up to 30 kg. The loudest episode that the team recalls is similar to a meme: a girl wanted to put a guy «up for sale», and the guy in response put the girl up for sale, and the filters filtered it out.
The monobazaar team has grown from 10 to 20 people since launch. They do not plan to expand in the near future, but they have an open position for Technical Lead Java. The tasks include shaping the architecture, working with microservices, implementing engineering standards, and leading the team.
Separately, mono shared its hiring plans for the company as a whole. They currently have almost 800 employees, of which about 680 are in Ukraine. Several dozen new vacancies in products, development, and AI are planned for 2026. Mono says that they will continue to hire Java engineers and tech leads, and in the AI direction they are preparing roles for specialists who work with LMM and AI agents. For candidates, experience in fintech, banking, or e-commerce is considered an advantage; interviews usually take place in 2–3 stages, and offers are often made within 10 days.
