"It hurts us to make such a decision": Sternenko's foundation left FPV supplies only for the front in Pokrovska-Kostyantynovka and Sumy region
The Serhiy Sternenko Foundation has announced a forced reduction in the geography of FPV drone supplies. From now on, only units in the Pokrovsko-Konstyantynivske direction and in the Sumy region will receive assistance. All other directions temporarily remain without support due to the overload of the fund.
Sternenko reported this in a post on the X social network. He emphasized that this decision was made with difficulty, because each FPV transmission is very important for saving the infantry.
«We are forced to stop all FPV deliveries to the front lines, except for Pokrovsk-Kostyantynovka and Sumy region. I apologize to the units. It hurts us to make such a decision, because every delivery is about saved lives,» the volunteer wrote.
The reason is not a drop in donations, their level remains stable. But the scale of hostilities and the level of requests from the front have grown so much that even the existing collections do not allow to keep up with the pace. As a result, the fund has accumulated a critical debt load to drone manufacturers.
«No, the Donets did not fall. The need has increased. The intensity of hostilities is very high. The situation in Pokrovsk is very difficult,» Sternenko explained.
According to him, the state often continues to supply things that cannot actually be effectively used on the front. Because of this, the responsibility for providing them falls on volunteers, and it is only growing.
He separately emphasized that other areas of activity, such as the Shahedoriz project, do not affect the situation with FPV drones. This is delimited targeted funding. But even with a clear framework for projects, the fund does not have time to respond to the full breadth of requests.
«You, everyone who helps, are golden people. But without the help of businesses and without a change in the state’s approaches, we won’t be able to cope,» Sternenko addressed the public.
He also added that Ukraine should invest in innovation now, but instead, volunteers are still forced to cover basic needs, namely ordinary FPV.
Despite the difficulties, the fund does not stop working. Fundraising continues at the link👉
