Nova Post invests over 6 million CZK in expanding logistics infrastructure in the Czech Republic

Nova Poshta announced a new stage of development in the Czech Republic and reported an investment of over 6 million CZK in its own logistics ecosystem in this market.
According to the Telegram channel of Nova Poshta, the company already has 22 branches in 15 cities in the Czech Republic, over 6,500 partner delivery points, as well as address delivery and collection of shipments throughout the country. One of the key elements of this infrastructure is its own customs warehouse, which actually works as a regional logistics hub. Thanks to this, the operator can independently carry out customs clearance of goods 24/7 and be less dependent on external partners in the critical part of the logistics chain.
Separately, the company has strengthened its coverage by connecting the OX Box network of post offices. This has added another 570 new points. In total, Nova Post customers in the Czech Republic now have access to more than 3,500 post offices of various networks, including ALZA box, GLS and OX Box. If we count them together with branches and partner delivery points, the service network looks much wider than just the brand’s own physical presence in the country.
Another important step is cooperation with the Czech division of UPS. After that, Nova Post gained the opportunity to deliver shipments to 187 more countries and regions. That is, the Czech infrastructure for the company becomes not only a local network for internal customer service, but also a hub for international logistics.
By the end of the year, the operator plans to open 30 more branches and launch an additional 2,500 service points. The company also announces its intention to develop seven-day delivery, next-day service, within-hour pickup, and delivery and acceptance of oversized parcels.
In fact, Nova Poshta in the Czech Republic is already going beyond the model of «service for Ukrainians abroad» and is building a full-fledged local logistics system. For the reader, what is important here is not only the investments themselves, but also what they are invested in: customs infrastructure, delivery points, post machines and international delivery. This means that the company is trying to establish itself on the market not as a point, but as a full-fledged player with its own operational base.
Previously, dev.ua wrote about how logistics operator Nova Poshta has identified fulfillment as one of its priority development vectors for the coming years. The company expects to process over 50 million orders per year by 2030.
