The Ukrainian representative office of Tekever confirmed its intention to open a «short bridge» to international UAV production for local teams: the company is planning at least three joint projects with startups and is preparing the groundwork for an R&D center in Ukraine.
According to Military, Tekever Ukraine Executive Director Kateryna Bezsudna stated on the sidelines of Defense Tech Valley 2025 that the corporation is looking for targeted integrations with Ukrainian developers to combine its own platform expertise with local engineering. We are talking about partnerships at the level of individual nodes (navigation, payloads, electronic warfare (EW) resistance, ground stations, mission planning software) and joint pilots with combat units.
Tekever emphasizes that the format of cooperation should be fast and practical: from the technical specifications to field tests and front-line feedback. The company expects that the startups involved will be able to supply modules and firmware that fit into the standardized platform architecture and shorten the update cycle. For Ukrainian teams, this is a chance to go beyond «prototypes in the laboratory» and prove compatibility with serial systems of a European manufacturer.
Tekever is known on the market as a developer of unmanned aircraft systems with experience of combat operation in Ukraine. Its tactical reconnaissance UAV AR3 has been operating in the Donbas and the south for more than two and a half years: the device provides reconnaissance, target detection and strike adjustment in a difficult electronic warfare environment. Tekever’s operational team operates in Ukraine, namely user support, repair, spare parts warehouse and logistics. Everything to minimize downtime and quickly return the aircraft to service.
Separately, the company talks about the localization of competencies: in the medium term, Tekever is considering opening an R&D center where new configurations of drones and payloads will be created together with Ukrainian partners. The priority is reconnaissance, channel range, autonomy, adaptation to obstacles, and modularity of payloads (optics, IR, radar sensors).
A little more about Tekever
This is a European defense technology company with a portfolio of UAVs for sea and land reconnaissance. It has been operating in Ukraine since the first years of the full-scale war, gradually expanding its local presence.
The format of cooperation with startups is a way to accelerate the integration of solutions that have already proven themselves on the battlefield and translate them into a series: from individual modules and firmware to complete kits certified for international deliveries.
