According to the Financial Times, the sale of a stake of less than 20% is in question. The potential investor is Architect Capital from San Francisco. Control over the company should remain with structures related to the current owners.
This is not the first attempt at a deal around OnlyFans in recent times. Previously, the market discussed the option of selling a controlling stake, but now it is about a smaller stake, which allows raising money without losing control of the business.
Investors are attracted by the platform's profitability. Last year, OnlyFans paid out $701 million in dividends, indicating stable cash flow and high margins.
At the same time, the business itself remains specific to large investors. Despite its popularity and financial performance, the platform operates in the paid subscription content segment, which makes it difficult to find strategic buyers among large funds.
The negotiations are taking place against the backdrop of changes in the ownership structure. Earlier, it was reported about the death of the platform owner Leonid Radvinsky, after which the question of the future fate of the asset became more relevant.
A deal with Architect Capital to acquire a larger stake in OnlyFans was also discussed in early 2026. The current format with the sale of a minority stake may indicate a change in strategy — the owners decided to partially fix the value of the business but retain control over the company.
