Ukrainian EdTech company Prometheus is preparing its first job-linked training programs for Poland and Germany. The courses are planned to be localized in two languages and test the format before scaling to other EU markets.
According to SPEKA, the co-owner and CEO of Prometheus Ivan Prymachenko reported that the training will be conducted in Polish and German and will be aimed not only at Ukrainians abroad, but also at a wider international audience. The participation of Russians in these programs is not envisaged. Specific areas have not yet been named: they must be announced by the customer partners, who will form a request for the necessary competencies.
According to Primachenko, the basis will be retraining and development programs of in-demand skills, similar to those already operating in Ukraine. The company calls entering the EU markets a strategic step due to the limited volume of the Ukrainian market, and the first projects in Poland and Germany are considered a test. The basic launch can be done with its own resources, but for rapid scaling and competition with global EdTech platforms, according to the CEO, investments will be required. In parallel, the team plans to increase contracts with international organizations and businesses.
Prometheus has been operating since 2014. According to Primachenko, the platform has about 3.5 million students, almost 10 million course registrations and over 450 training programs, and also cooperates with more than 150 companies that hire graduates. The retraining programs have an employment rate of about 70% within six months, and since the beginning of the full-scale war, more than 200 thousand military personnel have completed courses in drones, communications, cartography and basic training.
Previously, dev.ua wrote about how Ivan Prymachenko, co-founder of the Prometheus training platform, said that he still occasionally participates in recruiting, and over the past years he has personally reviewed thousands of resumes. He named a simple rule that will help candidates make their CV stand out.
