PlayCity announced the first version of the online gambling monitoring system

In an interview with LIGA.net, the head of the agency, Gennady Novikov, explained that the system will allow you to see the movement of funds within games:

«The system will control which funds go to the organizer and which go to the player. This is a key issue from a taxation point of view.»

Currently, this is only the first version of the product. According to Novikov, full functionality will be available no earlier than in a year, as the system is complex and is being developed in stages.

UAH 84 million has been allocated for the creation of an online monitoring system and maintenance of license registers. However, the regulator notes that it is impossible to use the entire amount this year, because the full development, according to market estimates, will take at least a year, and there is not enough time until the end of the budget period.

Previously, the head of the Rada’s finance committee, Danylo Hetmantsev, emphasized that PlayCity must ensure the launch by September 30. But even the regulator itself admits that this is a longer process that depends on the budget and approval of technical requirements.

In addition to monitoring, PlayCity has already initiated the blocking of almost 1,500 sites with illegal casinos. However, this tool does not give a 100% effect: sites quickly appear under new addresses.

According to business estimates, 40–50% of the gambling market in Ukraine remains in the «shadow». Despite tax revenues from legal operators, the problem of illegal online casinos and betting remains relevant. The state has high hopes for the new system, as it should become the main tool for controlling billion-dollar flows in an area where schemes to circumvent the law have so far dominated.

The blogger systematically published promotional materials with active links to online casinos and encouraged the audience to join gambling.
