According to Sergey «Flash» Beskrestnov, Starlink is so important to the enemy that they have deployed a whole network to find traitors who will agree to register the equipment for themselves through Ukrainian official procedures. He specifies that those who want it are bribed with offers of «easy money,» and the amounts in such «orders» have increased to UAH 10,000.
Flash explains the logic of the scheme: the enemy needs a person with Ukrainian documents who will create a formal record of the terminal, after which Starlink can be transferred to the occupied territories or directly to Russian units. As a result, the occupiers receive a communication channel, and in Ukraine there remains a specific surname to which the registration is tied.
Separately, Beskrestnov warns that anonymity in such stories is illusory. According to him, Ukraine will compare Starlink numbers found on the enemy with registration data. If the investigation establishes that a terminal registered to a specific person worked on the enemy’s side, this may become a basis for criminal prosecution. Flash emphasizes that «lovers of easy money» risk receiving 15 years in prison or life imprisonment if people die because of this Starlink.
Each Starlink terminal has a unique identifier. These can be captured during detection and compared to the registration records that remain after the device is registered. This is why the «just register and transfer» attempt creates a verifiable chain that an investigation can reconstruct and link to the fact of the adversary’s use of the connection.
