As the bank reports in its official release, investments are available from UAH 1,000, and the list includes government bond issues in hryvnia, dollars, and euros without tax fees and without additional purchase commissions. To make an investment, the client selects the desired issue, fills out a short questionnaire, and signs documents via SmartID; purchase and sale applications are accepted around the clock.
The new section in Privat24 allows you to fully manage your portfolio: the user can see the balance of securities, transaction history, coupon income payment schedule, and amounts received after bond redemption. There, you can also submit an application for early sale of securities if the investor needs liquidity.
The bank notes that clients are already actively using government bonds as a way to simultaneously support the state and earn interest. Since the beginning of 2025, investments by individuals in such instruments through PrivatBank have exceeded UAH 21 billion. Most often, Ukrainians choose semi-annual and annual hryvnia issues, as well as bonds in US dollars; a significant part of investors immediately reinvest funds in new series of the Ministry of Finance after the redemption of the securities.
Government bonds are considered one of the most reliable savings instruments, as their repayment and income payment are guaranteed by the state. Expanding access to such investments in a mass banking application simplifies market entry for retail investors and at the same time helps the Ministry of Finance raise resources domestically during a war.
