Samsung will announce new gadgets on September 4: five days before the iPhone 17 announcement. What will they show?

Samsung will hold a major online presentation of its new line of devices on September 4 at 12:30 Kyiv time.

Real competition or the illusion of confrontation?

Samsung’s presentation will take place five days before Apple’s event on September 9, where the company is expected to show off the iPhone 17 series and new Apple Watches. Among the possible new products: the iPhone 17 Air as the lightest and thinnest iPhone, as well as Pro models with A19 chips and a redesigned camera unit.

The company traditionally breaks announcements into three waves: January — the main S-series smartphones, summer — foldable models, fall — tablets and «fan editions» (FE). The current September slot logically closes the annual cycle and shapes Samsung’s product lineup before the holiday season.

Despite the September announcements, the intrigue surrounding Apple’s flexible devices remains. In the first half of the year, there were reports that Samsung Display would supply screens for Apple’s foldable devices. This only strengthens the technological interdependence of competitors in the premium display segment.

If the predictions from the leaks are confirmed, Samsung will update the «big three» of autumn products: the Tab S11/S11 Ultra tablets with an emphasis on autonomy and multimedia, and the Galaxy S25 FE as a mass flagship with an emphasis on the camera and operating time. After that, Apple will present itself in September and the market will get a complete picture of the top mobile novelties of the 2025 season.
