The agreement between the companies is reported by DOU, citing press releases from the parties. The combined structure will employ approximately 13,000 employees in more than 70 countries, and the combined annual revenue will reach 1.6 billion Swiss francs (approximately $2 billion).
According to internal data, SoftwareOne employs approximately 9,000 specialists, and Crayon approximately 4,000. Both companies have offices in Ukraine, so the merger will also affect the local market.
SoftwareOne is a global provider of cloud and licensing solutions for businesses. Crayon specializes in IT infrastructure management, analytics, and AI implementation. Both companies have offices in Ukraine, particularly in Kyiv. The combined company will report its first joint financial results on August 28, 2025.
The merger aims to strengthen its position in the B2B segment, expand its presence in the global cloud technology market and develop products based on artificial intelligence. The company expects annual cost savings of 80-100 million francs ($100-125 million), in particular due to business process synergies and the unification of operating platforms.
To finance the deal, SoftwareOne raised 700 million francs in credit resources in early 2025. Also, during the first half of the year, preparations for the integration took place: the management team was agreed, IT systems were harmonized, joint planning and an update of the operating model were launched.
The combined company will remain headquartered in Switzerland, while Oslo, Norway, will become a key sales and support hub. The Crayon name will be retained for a transitional period, with the entire structure operating under the SoftwareOne brand.
