Syrsky wrote about this on Telegram, based on data from a meeting on the results of the activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for the previous month. According to him, the decision to create Cyberforces is being made as part of further improving the management system and adapting the structure of the army to modern threats.
The general operational situation was also discussed during the meeting. Syrsky noted that fighting continues almost along the entire contact line, and on some days the number of clashes reaches approximately 300. At the same time, no territorial losses have been allowed in the Kupyansky, Kostyantynivsky, and Prydniprovsky directions, and Ukrainian units are conducting active operations in some areas.
In particular, in the Pokrovsko-Mirnogradsk agglomeration area, over the past few weeks, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have regained control of approximately 16 square kilometers in the northern part of Pokrovsk. Syrsky also reported that the number of the Russian group has been maintained at about 710 thousand people for a long time and is not growing despite active recruitment.
Separately, the commander-in-chief provided data on the operation of long-range weapons and air defense. Over the month, DeepStrike weapons completed 81 fire missions and hit 98 targets on the territory of the Russian Federation. Artillery hit more than 4,100 targets, missile forces hit more than a hundred, and electronic warfare systems suppressed approximately 94,000 air attack vehicles.
The transition of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to a corps-based command system has been underway since 2024. As part of this reform, new commands are being created, the structure of brigades is being changed, and areas related to unmanned technologies, electronic warfare, and cyber operations are being strengthened. The formation of Cyberforces should become a separate element of this system.
