Uklon has halted discussions about a potential acquisition of electric scooter rental service Jet. According to Forbes Ukraine, the key reason was a difference in vision of the asset's value.
Uklon has halted discussions about a potential acquisition of electric scooter rental service Jet. According to Forbes Ukraine, the key reason was a difference in vision of the asset's value.
The negotiations have been paused after several rounds of consultations, Forbes Ukraine writes , citing informed sources. Uklon publicly called the talks about the deal “rumors,” while Jet refrained from commenting. According to the sources, the parties did not agree on the price: Jet could target $12-15 million, while the buyer’s offers were lower — approximately $8-10 million.
Jet operates under a franchise, focuses on the Ukrainian market and, according to official data, has 750 thousand users who made at least one trip in 2025. The average check in Kyiv is estimated at about 56 UAH, in the regions - 35 UAH. In 2023-2024, according to one of the sources, the company's revenue doubled, and in 2025 it increased by about a quarter.
Uklon's interest in micromobility intensified in the spring of 2025 - after a deal with Kyivstar for $155.2 million. The application conducted a survey on the frequency of scooter use. Jet was valued as one of the main assets in the market. In parallel, the segment in the capital has already been consolidated by Estonian Bolt, and Ukrainian BikeNow and other local players are also operating.
According to the interlocutors, Uklon will either seek a compromise with Jet or consider other targets (in particular, Lviv's E-wings or Kyiv's Zelektra). The time factor is also important here: it is desirable to make a decision before the start of the new "scooter" season.
Previously, dev.ua wrote about how Uklon CEO Sergey Grishkov reported that Uklon will begin exploring models of cooperation with autonomous vehicle companies in the near future.
Parliamentarians are preparing a law that would legalize electric scooters as road users and impose a number of restrictions on them. What will be regulated and will it be possible to ride on sidewalks?
