Ukraine is building a rocket fuel plant in Denmark: this is the first such facility on the territory of a NATO country
Denmark has agreed to host a Ukrainian solid rocket fuel plant on its territory. The Fire Point plant will be built in the town of Vojens in the south of the country, and is expected to be launched in 2026.
Denmark has agreed to host a Ukrainian solid rocket fuel plant on its territory. The Fire Point plant will be built in the town of Vojens in the south of the country, and is expected to be launched in 2026.
According to the specialized publication «Military», a symbolic start of construction has already been held at the site of the future plant. The ceremony was attended by the Minister of Economy of Denmark Morten Bedskov, the mayor of Vojens Mads Skau and the director of the Danish office of Fire Point Vyacheslav Bondarchuk. They laid the first elements of the future infrastructure and publicly confirmed that the facility is focused specifically on the needs of the Ukrainian defense sector.
The plant will be located next to Skrjudstrup Air Base, which houses combat aircraft and other military infrastructure. This proximity provides an additional layer of protection from potential threats, as well as simplifies logistics and control over the movement of products that are of strategic importance to Ukraine.
Fire Point plans to produce military-grade solid rocket fuel, a key component for a number of Ukrainian missile systems and unmanned platforms. Moving part of the production to Denmark should reduce the risks associated with Russian missile strikes on Ukrainian factories and ensure the stability of ammunition supplies even in the event of massive attacks on energy or industrial facilities within the country.
The company is planned to launch after the construction is completed and all certification procedures are completed, approximately in 2026. At the same time, some local residents express concerns about security issues and possible sabotage by Russian special services. The Danish authorities respond that the project is being implemented in close coordination with military structures, and the region will receive enhanced security measures.
For Denmark, the location of Ukrainian defense production is an element of a broader policy of supporting Ukraine and developing its own defense industry. The government demonstrates its willingness to adapt regulatory conditions for such projects and signals that it is open to the arrival of other Ukrainian companies that can strengthen the allies' joint defense potential.
Previously, dev.ua wrote about how NATO is creating a separate cloud system through which Ukraine will be able to quickly transfer combat data to allies. The service is planned to be launched on NATO’s cloud infrastructure in January 2026, but for this the Alliance still needs to agree on the rules for its safe use.
Since January, the State Financial Monitoring Service has not provided NABU with data on the movement of funds of the Flamingo missile manufacturer. What is happening?
«Right now, even our ballistics is a drone.» Fire Point plans to put two ballistic missiles into service and launch mass production of ballistics. What are we talking about?
