"Ukrainian Armored Vehicles" is preparing "electronic battlefield" systems and new long-range ammunition

«Ukrainian Armored Vehicles» plans to go beyond armored vehicles, mortars, and basic ammunition and enter the segment of more complex defense-tech solutions: from battlefield coordination systems to new types of long-range and high-tech shots.

According to an interview with Forbes Ukraine, the company’s CEO Vladyslav Belbas said that the focus for 2026 is on «electronic battlefield» systems, long-range ammunition, and other high-tech solutions, which, according to him, are practically non-existent in Ukraine yet.

These are systems that are supposed to connect drones, weapons, and military command and control elements into a single network. The idea is not to produce separate products, but to create a connected loop where different platforms coordinate with each other on the same battlefield.

A separate direction has become new types of artillery ammunition. The company is talking about long-range shells Boat Tail and Base Bleed, which should hit targets at a distance of 30 and 40 km, respectively. They are currently undergoing testing and codification. Belbas also mentioned the intention to develop more complex shots, in particular ammunition with laser targeting.

In fact, the company declares a transformation from a manufacturer of individual categories of weapons into a diversified player that wants to be present in different segments of the military-industrial complex. Ukrainian Armored Vehicles explains this approach by the desire not to depend on the situation in one market and to increase the share of its own production.

In the same interview, Belbas said that 2025 was a record year for the company in terms of codification: it received approval for operation for more than 20 new models of weapons and military equipment. Among them are solutions in the field of drones and ground robotic complexes.
