According to Military, the sensor was developed by a third-party company, and Skyeton integrated it into the aircraft platform and «stitched» it with the on-board electronics and ground station software. For the operator, this means that radiation indicators are displayed in the same interface as standard flight parameters, coordinates, and other telemetry. That is, when flying over a dangerous area, you can immediately see where the background is changing and make decisions faster without additional devices on site.
Structurally, the module was placed inside the fuselage. This solution provides several practical advantages: the sensor is protected from precipitation and mechanical damage, and the aircraft does not lose balance and aerodynamics, which is critical for long missions. The company emphasizes that integration is not limited to «screwing the sensor on», it was important to ensure stability during a long flight and correct data transmission to the ground in real time.
The system was tested in the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone. According to the test results, the manufacturer claims operational stability and measurement accuracy. This format of aerial monitoring can be useful not only for the State Emergency Service in case of incidents, but also for planned tasks: monitoring industrial sites and potentially dangerous objects, infrastructure inspections, environmental assessment after accidents or fires, when it is necessary to quickly collect data from a large area, minimizing the risk to people.
