The Head of the State Tax Service, Ruslan Kravchenko, spoke about the taxation of income from OnlyFans and the data that Ukraine received from other countries.
According to the head of the State Tax Service, over three years, from 2020 to 2022, the total amount of income paid to individuals who earned money on OnlyFans amounted to $111 million, writes «Economic Truth.»
Ruslan Kravchenko also reported that the tax office received other information, including:
5,435 individuals who registered and used 7,036 accounts in their activities.
Tax officials sent 5,126 requests to taxpayers.
The State Tax Service conducted 759 documentary checks, 606 checks are ongoing, and another 346 documentary checks are planned.
The amount of the monetary obligation is over 250 million UAH.
Taxpayers are appealing the UAH 14.5 million accrued to them in administrative and judicial proceedings.
The amount of debt according to the results of the inspections is UAH 14.7 million.
748 people filed tax returns.
The amount of income they declared is UAH 356 million.
«Individuals who receive income and are tax residents of Ukraine must pay taxes by law. Also, CFCs (controlled foreign companies — EPs) must file a declaration if they receive income abroad. We work in all areas where people must pay taxes,» the head of the tax department said.
According to him, information on how much money Ukrainians earn on the platform was sent to the State Tax Service by the United Kingdom.
Kravchenko also added that residents of Ukraine can work legally on OnlyFans even as individual entrepreneurs, in particular, if they adhere to the limits in accordance with the taxation system and correctly choose the type of activity in the classifier, which can be viewed on the website of the State Statistics Committee (KVED). In the event that models cooperated with OnlyFans through agencies and received not the full amount of income, but only commissions, in order not to pay 19,5% of income, as the tax authority may request, they must provide all documents confirming this.
«We will objectively and transparently consider each situation. If there are complaints or unresolved issues, let’s resolve them pre-trial,» the head of the State Tax Service added.
As a reminder, earlier in March, it became known that an OnlyFans model anonymously told the publication «Ekonomichna Pravda» that the National Police of Ukraine was conducting searches of Ukrainian OnlyFans models, about which the State Tax Service and the Bureau of Economic Security had become aware. At that time, according to her, investigators offered to take $100,000 as a bribe.
The text of a draft law on the introduction of international automatic exchange of information on income received through digital platforms appeared on the Ministry of Finance website in early March 2025. In particular, this may apply to operators of digital platforms such as OnlyFans, Glovo, Uklon, Booking, which must declare income received by their users, i.e. drivers, renters, couriers and other persons who sell goods or provide certain paid services.
The Ministry of Finance is considering the option of taxing the activities of OnlyFans models, Glovo couriers, Bolt taxi drivers, Booking landlords, and all other users of digital platforms. How much will they have to pay?
The tax office told how many thousands of «letters of happiness» regarding tax payments were sent to Onlyfans models and how many responses they received.
