Speaking at the Milken Institute Global Conference 2025, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang urged people not to fear artificial intelligence, but to learn to work with it. According to CNBC, the head of the tech giant said that the main danger is not AI systems themselves, but competitors who use them more effectively.
According to him, AI is already directly affecting the labor market. Millions of professionals could lose their jobs not because of automation, but because they did not have time to adapt. «Every job will be changed — and immediately. You will not lose your job because of AI, but it may be taken by someone who has already mastered AI,» Huang said.
Against this backdrop, the head of Nvidia reminded that only about 30 million people in the world know how to fully program and apply advanced AI technologies. The remaining 7.5 billion are lagging behind. This, in his opinion, opens up new opportunities for those who are willing to learn.
Jensen Huang regularly highlights the importance of AI in his personal work — for example, he uses ChatGPT and Gemini to write drafts. His advice to students and young people is to master AI tools as soon as possible. Mark Cuban, who invests in free training programs for young people in the US, shares a similar opinion. All this is part of a broader trend: AI is becoming a universal tool for those who want to maintain (and improve) their place in the future.
Other market players see the situation differently. For example, Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei predicts that within 1–5 years, AI could completely replace up to 50% of entry-level white-collar jobs. His concern is that AI is boosting the economy, but at the same time leaving millions unemployed.
Despite these caveats, companies are already requiring employees to actively use AI. At Shopify, managers are instructed to exhaust all AI capabilities before asking for new hires. At Duolingo, Fiverr, and others, integrating AI into workflows has become the norm.
According to Huang, this is just the beginning. He believes that AI is not only transforming professions, but also creating new ones: «Every level of the technology stack is changing now — and that’s creating new jobs.»
Previously, the CEO of freelance exchange Fiverr, Micha Kaufman, said that he would not hire anyone who was not already using AI. According to him, even candidates who say they are ready to try AI but have not actually used it will be a red flag.
