The company announced this in an Instagram post, where it claims that partner banks received an «unlawful demand» from the head of the parliamentary finance committee, Danylo Getmantsev. According to FAVBET, it was about stopping the servicing of operations of the group’s companies, which effectively blocked all expenditure payments, including taxes and mandatory contributions to the budget.
FAVBET calls the situation paradoxical: officials who publicly speak about the fight for tax discipline, by their actions, according to the company, are disrupting the transfer of almost half a billion hryvnias to the state treasury. The statement says that blocking payments creates a risk of non-fulfillment of obligations to the state, despite the fact that the company declares its readiness to pay them.
The company also warns of wider consequences. In its opinion, such steps undermine the trust of international investors, weaken the position of the legal market and play into the hands of shadow operators. FAVBET believes that blocking accounts discredits the very idea of a transparent, licensed iGaming sector, for which the business received licenses and worked within the legal framework.
According to the company, in the first nine months of 2025, legal iGaming in Ukraine paid a total of about UAH 14 billion in taxes. Of this, UAH 6.4 billion, according to FAVBET, falls on its group of companies. The blocked UAH 424 million in FAVBET is compared with the annual budgets of individual regional centers, hinting at the scale of potential losses for the state.
In its appeal, FAVBET positions itself as the largest taxpayer in the legal iGaming segment and calls for the «restoration of normal functioning of accounts.» At the same time, the company does not publish the text of the demand itself to banks and does not cite the positions of financial institutions or government bodies.
Earlier, the FAVBET group of companies officially confirmed the delays in payments to customers and stated that the reason was the pressure of the head of the Verkhovna Rada Finance Committee, Danylo Getmantsev, on partner banks. The company assures that players' funds remain in their accounts and will be paid out after the payment infrastructure is restored.
