The research was led by Professor Fu Yanfang from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Xi’an University of Technology. According to the Global Times, the DeepSeek model is capable of independently generating event logic, troop deployment options, and combat scenarios for different conditions. The AI agent creates 10,000 unique simulations in 48 seconds, while a human would need at least 48 hours to do the same job.
The key feature of the development is the rejection of the traditional approach, when scenarios were prepared in advance according to strict rules. Instead, DeepSeek allows you to form dynamic scenarios that evolve based on a multidimensional graph of knowledge about the battlefield. AI does not simply simulate events, but models them taking into account logic, realistic behavior of the parties to the conflict and unpredictable changes in the combat situation.
The release emphasizes that the main value of the tool is the transition from a «rule system» to an «intelligent agent» that is able to adapt and learn. Generating scenarios with a high degree of complexity is not just an increase in efficiency, but the formation of a new stage of military planning in the context of multi-domain operations.
According to the researchers, such technologies will form the basis of future combat simulation systems, where virtual models interact with real weapons systems and control tools, creating a digital training ground for strategic planning.
