Ukrainian-Maltese studio 4A Games, known for the Metro series of games, has published a warning about a fraudulent account posing as its recruiter on Discord.
4A Games reported that on the platform he uses the nickname hr4agames and introduces himself as Pavel Fedorenko, and communicates through Gmail accounts and redirects to Discord.
«We would like to warn anyone who contacts these accounts that this is not legitimate and is most likely a scam, we do not recruit via Discord, unofficial email, or directly on social media through personal accounts. Please do not interact with these accounts or any others that may impersonate us,» the studio noted on its social media.
4A Games urged candidates to write personal messages to the studio’s official LinkedIn account or through the form on the company’s website if they have any doubts about the recruiter representing it.
Recall that on February 27, the Reburn studio, formed by people from the Ukrainian office of 4A Games, announced its debut game La Quimera. Some media outlets reported that Reburn is a rebranding of 4A Games Ukraine, which also has a studio in Malta, but 4A Games denied this information .
4A Games is currently working on a new installment in the Metro series, which, according to previous reports, will once again take place in a Russian setting and may return players to Moscow.
According to the developers, the Metro series has always had a «tough, political, anti-war and often emotional story» and these themes will continue thanks to «ongoing collaboration with the creator of the franchise, Russian writer and activist Dmitry Glukhovsky.» 4A Games explained that Glukhovsky «has always spoken out against the war in Ukraine from the very beginning» and called it a «courageous decision for any Russian» who was sentenced to prison in absentia.
