The Ministry of Defense reported, citing Deputy Minister for Aviation Capabilities Development Oleksandr Kozenko, that within the framework of the Coalition of Air Forces, several groups of Ukrainian pilots have completed training on modern foreign aviation platforms, and the programs have been adjusted to NATO combat experience and interoperability standards. Separately, an engineering and technical service to maintain the readiness of new aircraft, ground personnel for airfield maintenance and logistics, as well as operators of special equipment for high-tech monitoring and reconnaissance systems have been trained abroad.
The key result of the year was the launch of a certified training infrastructure in Ukraine: 8 leading training organizations received certified status, and in total 34 institutions have permits to train specialists, 19 of which are in the UAV field. Thanks to the involvement of state and private instructor schools, in 2025 more than 5,000 operators of unmanned aircraft systems were trained, almost a hundred cadet pilots were trained in parallel, and 437 state certificates were issued based on the results of tests and qualification exams.
