According to the Telegram channel «Mines and coffee with sandwiches!», one of these Starlink devices was discovered about 40 km from the front line. After being shot down, the main warhead failed and separated from the hull during the fall. According to the sappers, it consisted of two Soviet small-caliber PTAB-2.5KO anti-tank bombs with EDP-r electric detonators, and a blue Chinese contactor served as the target sensor.
Separately, the design included a backup option for disabling the Starlink terminal itself. It was assembled from a 75-gram TNT bomb, a VZD-3M fuse, and an MD-5M detonator. The channel explains that such a trap is intended for situations when the main warhead has failed: even a downed drone in this case can remain a threat during inspection, disassembly, or attempts to move the «trophy.»
The authors of the post also claim that the Russian Federation has arranged the supply of Starlink terminals through document fraud, «parallel imports» and account activation through third countries, despite SpaceX’s statements about the absence of official sales to the Russian Federation. According to their estimates, the number of such kits has increased so much that the enemy has begun to install satellite Internet on strike UAVs, and is now additionally trying to make it impossible to safely remove the equipment after it is shot down.
