According to DOU, this year more than 49 thousand developers took part in the survey. The share of Ukrainian specialists among them was 2,7%, which exceeds the indicators of Poland (2.5%) and Italy (2.4%). Despite the war, relocation and constant challenges, the Ukrainian IT community continues to remain noticeable at the global level.
The survey found significant changes in the tools and habits of developers. In particular, 84% of respondents said they have already integrated or are planning to integrate artificial intelligence into their work. Half of them use such tools daily. At the same time, while 69% of respondents believe that it increases their productivity, only 17% see a positive impact of AI on team interaction.
Among programming languages, Python has seen a significant increase in popularity, with usage up 7% year-over-year. It continues to lead the pack, alongside JavaScript (66%) and SQL (58.6%).
Also in the ranking of teamwork tools, GitHub overtook Jira for the first time and became the most popular among developers.
Job satisfaction has also increased. Last year, only 20% of survey participants considered themselves satisfied with their workplace, but this year the number has increased to 24,5%.
This is the largest annual survey of IT professionals in the world, which allows you to track changes in technological preferences, tools and developer sentiment. The fact of active participation of Ukrainian specialists demonstrates their deep integration into the global IT ecosystem, despite all the challenges the country faces.
