This was reported by the IAEA on the social network X, citing a statement by Director General Rafael Grossi. The message states that problems with electrical substations and the shutdown of part of the power transmission lines have again affected the operation of the nuclear power plant, and the deterioration of the network, according to the agency, increases the risks to nuclear safety. Grossi repeated the call for restraint, emphasizing that the situation with the power system is directly related to the safety of nuclear generation.

At the same time, the Ministry of Energy reported in its morning update that the enemy was carrying out a massive strike with drones and missiles on substations and 750 kV and 330 kV overhead lines, which forced the nuclear power plants to reduce their generation capacity. Due to significant damage to the balancing of the power system, according to the agency, they are providing electricity imports and applying restrictions, and at the command of NPP Ukrenergo, the volume of outages was forcibly increased. In most regions, as the Ministry of Energy notes, emergency outages have been introduced.
Against the backdrop of these messages, the Telegram channel «Telecom-Kruzhok» also publishes a graph of network connectivity drops in some regions, which may be an indirect consequence of power and infrastructure problems.
Nuclear plants depend on the stable operation of the external grid and substations, in particular for the safe operation and power supply of critical systems. Therefore, strikes on electricity transmission and distribution nodes can force nuclear plants to reduce load, and the power system switches to a more stringent balancing mode with imports and consumption restrictions.
