This is stated in the company’s press release dedicated to the results of the first half of the year. Since the beginning of the year, the operator has laid more than 2,000 km of fiber-optic lines, including in front-line regions. In the mass consumer segment, the number of new connections increased by 17,6% compared to the same period in 2024. In the business segment (large business and SME), the growth was 10%.
More than 60 medical and almost 100 educational institutions also received optical internet. In total, Ukrtelecom’s optical network already covers more than 1,350 medical institutions and 1,830 educational institutions.
The company estimated the loyalty level of new fiber subscribers at 67% according to the NPS metric (Net Promoter Score). Fiber was the main driver of growth: in the first half of the year, revenues from these services increased by 10,5% compared to last year.
The company’s total revenue for the period January-June amounted to almost UAH 2.47 billion. The volume of profit before expenses (EBITDA) is over UAH 540 million, with a margin of 22,1%. For half a year, Ukrtelecom transferred over UAH 785 million in taxes and fees to the budgets of all levels.
As part of infrastructure optimization, the company also actively leases real estate; this area has brought in over UAH 260 million in revenue.
Ukrtelecom is part of the SCM group. In 2024, the company also focused on the development of optics and announced its expansion into digital services. In January 2025, it became known that Ukrtelecom had joined the European association Connect Europe.
