Deputy Director of the Commercial Department of Ukrzaliznytsia Valeriy Tkachev reported on the simplification of the processing of railway invoices while the company restores its services from the consequences of the cyberattack.
«Ukrzaliznytsia provides a free application for processing paper transportation documents when processing cargo transportation by rail», — said Tkachev.
According to him, this is due to the temporary inoperability of Ukrzaliznytsia’s information systems. To prepare shipping documents with the possibility of further printing, the company advises using the «Shipper’s ARM» software product, which was developed by Ukrzaliznytsia’s partner TMSOFT.
Valeriy Tkachev noted that while stable work is being restored, the «Shipper’s ARM» will be provided free of charge. The program’s functionality is temporarily limited only to the processing of shipping documents without logical controls.
You can access and configure the program at the link. Users who already have a «Shipper’s ARM» license need to update the program version.
As a reminder, on Sunday morning, March 23, Ukrzaliznytsia reported a failure in the company’s IT system. The company did not immediately indicate the reasons for the failure. In the morning, the chairman of the board of UZ admitted that an unprecedented cyberattack was carried out on the servers and IT resources of Ukrzaliznytsia — targeted, complex, and multi-level.
Chairman of the Board of UZ Oleksandr Pertsovsky said that the company is implementing compensation packages for passengers.
The company was able to partially restore services on the morning of March 27. However, passengers are still complaining about their incorrect operation.
On the evening of March 27, Ukrzaliznytsia reported that it had sold over 12,000 tickets online after services were restored from the effects of a large-scale cyberattack. However, on the morning of March 28, the service became unavailable again due to a technical failure.
UPD. After recovering from the cyberattack, online ticket sales at Ukrzaliznytsia are still operating with glitches. «Station angels» are working near the ticket offices at the stations
Cyberattack on Ukrzaliznytsia: all computer equipment of the staff is being quarantined — checked for malicious software. Unloaded specialists will be sent to idle
