The government launched an online platform for energy support for people, condominiums, and businesses in winter
The Cabinet of Ministers has opened a single online platform, where all current government support programs for the difficult winter period have been collected. The Cabinet of Ministers has opened a single online platform, where all current government support programs for the difficult winter period have been collected. The website promises short terms, a list of documents, and a clear application procedure for individuals, condominiums/housing associations, businesses, and communities.
According to Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko, the platform operates at energy.kmu.gov.ua and should become a «single point of access» to tools that help increase the energy independence of housing and support the smooth operation of businesses.
The platform has collected several areas of assistance for citizens. Among them are «SvitloDim» to increase the energy independence of homes, «Heat Packages» for people with disabilities and single pensioners, as well as the «Ecoflow» program for children with disabilities of group A. Monthly payments to repair crews are separately mentioned.
The government also announced the start of applications from partner banks for two new programs: «Energy Support for Condominiums and Housing Associations» and «Energy Support for Private Houses and Townhouses». The business block included, in particular, assistance to individual entrepreneurs for energy sustainability in the amount of UAH 7,500-15,000 (for the purchase or repair of generators, fuel, or payment of utility services), as well as financial instruments for the purchase of energy equipment: a 0% loan of up to UAH 10 million for a term of up to three years for generators and the «5-7-9%» program for such needs.
In recent months, the state and banks have been launching parallel energy sustainability programs, but the conditions and submission channels are often scattered across different platforms. The energy.kmu.gov.ua platform should bring these opportunities into one catalog and show which tools are available to a specific category of applicant and where to apply for them.
Previously, dev.ua wrote about how Prime Minister Yulia Svirydenko announced when there would be more light and told what the government was doing to achieve this goal.
