Drone manufacturer "Vampire" became the first resident of Defence City

According to the Ministry of Defense, the first resident was one of Ukraine’s largest drone manufacturers, known for its Vampire and Shrike drones, as well as Shahed interceptors. Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal called Defence City a state policy of forming an industrial ecosystem and called on other Ukrainian manufacturers to join the regime.

Residency in Defence City, as the Ministry of Defence explains, provides companies with a set of tools that should reduce the tax and administrative burden: exemption from income tax on reinvestment, as well as from land, property and environmental taxes, simplification of customs procedures, additional guarantees of information protection and confidentiality during the regime, and mechanisms for state support for relocation and increased security of production facilities if necessary.

To obtain the status, the defense industry enterprise submits an application and a package of documents to the Ministry of Defense, including a report on compliance with the requirements of the legislation, financial and audit reports, and information on participation in the implementation of state defense contracts. You can submit it electronically with the CEP to the address [email protected] or by mail to 03168, Kyiv, Air Force of Ukraine Avenue, 6. After consideration, the Ministry of Defense makes a decision to grant the status, refuse, or return the application without consideration. In case of a positive decision, the company is entered into the Defence City register.

Defence City is positioned as a tool to accelerate production for the defense industry, and the appearance of the first resident should show how exactly the new regime will work in practice.
