As of mid-May, 201 job offers in IT for the Defense Forces of Ukraine were open in the «Reserve+» application and on the Lobby X platform — 40 positions more than at the end of March.
This was reported by the DOU, citing data from the Lobby X resource, which operates from the Ministry of Defense, that the number of vacancies for information technology specialists has increased from 161 to 201 in a month and a half. On average, nine candidates apply for one position, which is slightly lower than in previous months.
The main demand for IT specialists in the Armed Forces of Ukraine
The largest number of vacancies were opened by combat units that form army corps:
3rd Separate Assault Brigade
Azov Regiment
Charter Brigade
In addition to them, IT specialists are sought in structural units of the Defense Forces, the Ministry of Defense, and other specialized bodies.
Most popular roles:
Information security and cybersecurity specialists
System administrators
Military UAV operators and specialists
In addition, there are requests for developers in the field of artificial intelligence, FPGA engineers, embedded developers, and programmers of various stacks.
With the growing number of IT vacancies in the military, demand remains quite high, although competition has eased somewhat. Lobby X experts attribute this to the simultaneous announcement of many positions in different units and a balanced labor market.
Why is this necessary?
Strengthening cyber defense, modernizing IT infrastructure, and integrating new digital tools for managing logistics and combat operations require the involvement of experienced IT specialists.
As a reminder, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine announced the launch of beta testing of new functions in the «Reserve+» mobile application, aimed at simplifying the processes of military registration and mobilization.
