This was reported by Reuters, citing an official statement from the company. Toloka, which helps train artificial intelligence through a network of more than 10,000 human analysts and moderators, is part of Amsterdam-based international AI infrastructure company Nebius Group (NBIS.O).
According to Tolok CEO Olga Megorskaya, the investment will accelerate the development of new solutions that combine human expertise with AI agents, as well as strengthen the company’s position in the Western market.
«Control and validation of results by human experts will remain critical to the quality of AI performance,» she emphasizes.
Shopify CTO Mikhail Parakhin also joined the investors, joining Toloka’s new board as executive chairman. Parakhin called the project «timely and crucial,» given the pent-up demand for high-quality AI data.
Toloka is known for its collaborations with Amazon, Microsoft, Anthropic, and other advanced model developers. As Megorska emphasizes, the new round gives Toloka the flexibility it needs to operate autonomously and prepare for the next round of investment.
