Yaroslav Azhnyuk’s two deftech companies, The Fourth Law (TFL) and Odd Systems, have announced a large-scale recruitment of specialists to develop autonomous systems and optics for drones.
According to DOU, TFL is simultaneously advancing several areas of autonomy: the TFL-1 module for targeting ground targets in the «last mile», improved machine vision for Shahed interceptors, integration with a radar map, and scenarios for autonomous approach to the area of interest. The results of the bombing module, which the company refers to as the second level of autonomy, are already being demonstrated at the training grounds. TFL vacancies:
Embedded Engineer
QA Lead
Security Officer
Sales Manager / Account Manager
Product Manager, Autonomy

Odd Systems focuses on optoelectronic solutions for drones. The Kurbas thermal imaging camera line has been expanded with the Kurbas Beta version with an additional layer of electronics that allows the operator to change image settings in flight; the company claims better vibration resistance compared to common Chinese cameras. Odd Systems cooperates with the Danish Terma in the production of interceptors, and is also preparing daytime cameras. The company has already identified a CEO (the name is not yet disclosed). Odd Systems vacancies are as follows:
Hardware Product Manager
Technical Support Specialist
Recruiting Head / Senior Recruiter
Technical Lead Embedded Engineer
Junior Embedded Engineer
Business Analyst
Accountant
Product Manager, Cameras
Marketing Manager
Event Manager
FPV constructor
Maintenance Specialist / Facility Manager
Courier

Autonomous modules for the «last mile» and interceptors cover the two most painful scenarios of the front: hitting the target when communication is lost and night/difficult weather detection, where the classic operator is «blinded». The combination of machine vision with radar data reduces the time from detection to defeat, and vibration-resistant thermal imagers keep the picture on FPV and large platforms without frame «floating». As a result, accuracy increases and there are fewer losses of sides and ammunition with a greater number of successful exits.
For candidates, this means working in «short loops»: fast iterations between the lab and the test site, real-world impact on the performance characteristics of the vehicles, and live feedback from the crews. These companies are looking for people who can bring a prototype to a stable product: test algorithms under «shake», under light interference, with connection delays, and in dust/rain.
