According to him, Sony is allegedly planning to simultaneously launch three devices in 2027: the main PS6, a simplified PS6 S model, and a portable companion console. At the same time, there is no official confirmation from Sony itself at the moment, and TechRadar directly notes that this is just insider information and speculation.
According to the insider, the main PS6 may get an Orion processor, while the PS6 S and the portable version will allegedly work on the AMD Canis chip. He also tried to estimate the possible price range of the future devices. According to this estimate, the PS6 S may cost from $349 to $549, the portable model - from $499 to $699, and the main console - from $699 to $999. TechRadar itself emphasizes: this is not a leak of specific prices, but a forecast based on the current cost of components, memory shortages and customs policies.
Separately, the publication links this assessment to the recent price increase for the current PlayStation lineup. In April, Sony raised the cost of the PS5, PS5 Pro and PS Portal, explaining this by the pressure of the global economic situation.
