The four-day workweek has been reintroduced at YouScan for the summer. This format, which first appeared at the company in 2023, has become a permanent seasonal trend over time.
The four-day workweek has been reintroduced at YouScan for the summer. This format, which first appeared at the company in 2023, has become a permanent seasonal trend over time.
The decision to return to a reduced schedule was a response to a request from employees, DOU reports. Today, the company employs 78 people, more than two-thirds of whom are in Ukraine.
YouScan does not change business indicators to the new rhythm: sales plans remain stable, as does the level of customer service. At the same time, surveys among the team show that the reduction in the week did not negatively affect productivity — for the majority, it either increased or remained stable.
The company does not use any special tools to transition to a four-day workweek. The main reliance is on an internal culture of flexibility and independent planning. Teams distribute the workload themselves, adapting the pace to the circumstances.
The most positive changes are noted in the area of mental health. The shortened week format has been listed among the most valuable internal benefits for the third year in a row. Team members note better well-being, faster recovery, and the opportunity to fully spend time outdoors in the summer.
At the same time, despite the advantages, the company does not yet plan to implement such a schedule on a permanent basis.
Is the four-day diet really effective?
The temporary 4-day workweek at YouScan has been proving its effectiveness for the third summer in a row. Although the company does not record a direct relationship between this format and increased productivity, the stability of business results and the improvement of the mental state of employees speak in its favor. Flexible planning conditions and trust in teams are becoming key factors in the successful implementation of such initiatives.
