In Poland, product manager Oleksii Osynovskyi and his wife, designer Ira Polianska, launched a startup called BookFlea, an online platform where you can sell or buy used books in Ukrainian. This way, book lovers from Ukraine can read more paper books and save money at the same time. A simple post on LinkedIn about whether people are interested in the idea has grown into a project that has become a real online community for book fans. The couple has already invested $25,000 in the startup and are aiming to develop the product: Lesha left Reface, where he worked as a product manager, and is now expanding the team to implement their plans, including entering the Ukrainian market.

Two childhood friends, developer Roman Galdava and graphic designer Vadym Yaremchuk, created a tool to increase video views on YouTube — Thumbnailed it. It analyzes audience preferences and creates optimized cover, title, and description with a focus on clickability. Thanks to this, the user quickly receives a ready-made design for a YouTube video by simply sending a link to the script to the bot. The startup is already on its way to its first investment, and in the future it plans to expand the list of niches, including Amazon.

Ukrainian user X (Twitter) talked about the Telegram bot «DeKnygy», created by his friend. It allows you to conveniently compare prices in different bookstores and publishing houses. The post quickly garnered thousands of likes and views on social media, as well as a lot of feedback. dev.ua spoke with the developer of the DeKnyga bot — he turned out to be a student at the Kyiv Professional College of Communications.

So the couple combined their expertise in a family project and launched an app that aims to make a healthy lifestyle simple, accessible, and enjoyable, so that people don't wait for the first signs of illness, but can act proactively. And although Eated is currently out of the MVP stage, it is already being used in the US and Canada. The startup has already attracted its first investments, is expanding its team, and has opened new vacancies.
