Subjektiv became the only art startup among 24 Ukrainian winners who made it to Google for Startups from almost 900 applications. The platform rethinks the format of interaction with art and already unites hundreds of artists from dozens of countries. dev.ua talked to Kateryna Serdyuk, CEO and co-founder of Subjektiv, and found out how it works.

LLC "Science Park "Zhytomyr Polytechnic" was officially registered on August 23, 2023. Operationally, the park is developing at the expense of its own revenues: as of December 2024, its income reached UAH 3 million. This year, an increase in income by 50% is expected. The park invests all the money earned in the development of new projects. The Science Park received significant support from the investment company BGV Group Management of Gennady Butkevych, which provided equipment for laboratories worth over 100,000 euros. Currently, the park team is creating projects for universities, business, and sports, including an online management platform for universities, an interactive sports simulator, application development, 3D printer production, and more.

In the Ukrainian tech sector, it is not uncommon for startups to be co-founded not just by business partners, but also by life partners — married couples or people in relationships. Sometimes such projects have grown into powerful players or even leaders in their market — examples of Rozetka, founded by Vladyslav and Iryna Chechotkin, or Mate Academy, co-founded by the couple Anna and Roman Apostol, are illustrative. Much has been written about these businesses, but right now, let’s focus on marriage-partner startups with Ukrainian roots. Whether they will ultimately be truly successful or will end up in the «startup graveyard» is a matter of personal preference. After all, our selection includes startups at various stages, founded by couples or people in relationships, without analyzing their existing background, prospects, business models, and amounts of funds raised.

Kyiv-based company BeesAgainstMines is working on modular drone-based platforms designed to clean up territories from the consequences of war. dev.ua spoke with the startup’s CEO Oleksandr Plakhtur and learned more about how the BeesAgainstMines artificial intelligence model and SWARM system work.

A Ukrainian student team of four specialists founded the startup ExactOptiRoute and is developing a web application that allows you to travel around the center of Kyiv. A team of Ukrainian schoolchildren led by a 15-year-old CEO has created an augmented reality mobile application called Firselp, which teaches users how to provide first aid in critical situations.
