Ukrainians created a combat FPV drone simulator that was purchased 10,000 times on Steam. The team is now creating a new product for training drone operators
Ukrainian startup FPV Battleground has created a combat FPV drone simulator that has already sold over 10,000 times on Steam, with about half of the users coming from outside Ukraine. The game simulates real-world scenarios for using FPV drones on the battlefield: the operator must find a target, take into account the effects of electronic warfare, and execute an attack.
The simulator is available on Steam and the Epic Games Store. The civilian version costs $10, and the developers provide free keys for military users.
The project is also entering the international startup scene: the FPV Battleground team made it to the top 20 of Founders Battle at the TechChill technology conference, where they are presenting the product to investors.

The trap of gig contracts: why IT workers themselves ask for a transition
The Ukrainian market has been operating in a full-scale war for five years, and the IT industry is no exception. If earlier the choice of a cooperation model between an individual entrepreneur, a gig contract, or a staff was mostly a matter of taxes and flexibility, today it also determines the legal status of a specialist during mobilization.
There is still a misconception on the market that a gig contract gives the right to an official deferral for a specialist, but in fact it does not provide for such guarantees, since it is of a civil law, not a labor nature. As a result, a paradoxical situation arises: some IT specialists who previously chose flexible models of cooperation are now asking to be transferred to the staff under the Labor Code. What is the difference between a gig contract and an employment contract, what are the nuances of working on a staff, and how are companies changing the model of cooperation with teams today? Let’s figure it out in order.

How to make a Ukrainian-speaking voice AI agent for your business in 2026

How to make IT people not just store USDT, but make them work: a practical guide
Most IT professionals who get paid in USDT do the same thing: withdraw to fiat and forget. The logic is clear — a stable currency, a clear exchange rate, minimal headaches. But it is at this point that money stops working.

A call from an unknown number and silence on the phone? Experts explained why scammers do this
Many people have answered a call from an unknown number at least once and heard silence on the phone. Sometimes the person you’re talking to appears only after a few seconds, and sometimes the conversation never begins.
In fact, this could be part of a scam designed to verify that the number is active and that a real person is answering it, Shane Barney, director of information security at Keeper Security, told ZDNET.

“I don’t believe Putin understands blockchain payments, but the Russians are way ahead of us here.” Presidential Commissioner for Sanctions Policy on Russia’s Cryptocurrency Loopholes and the Fight Against Them
Tens of billions of dollars per month — this is exactly the amount of money, according to Vladyslav Vlasyuk, the Presidential Commissioner for Sanctions Policy, that Russia is «driving» through cryptocurrency in order not only to circumvent the economic sanctions imposed on it, but also to purchase components for its weapons in Europe, the USA, and other countries of the Western world.
This problem is very acute. How exactly are Ukraine and the EU fighting it? Vladislav Vlasyuk told about this and more in an interview with dev.ua. Also read about whether a complete «ban» of cryptocurrency trade with Russia by Europe is real, how many cryptocurrency exchanges are under sanctions, and how unknown «well-wishers» and special services are helping to unravel the chains of cryptocurrency connections.

How to pass GLI-19 without rewriting the architecture and simplify scaling: SharksCode case
For a B2B platform in iGaming, every scaling means new integrations: game providers, payment services, KYC, local regulatory requirements. In such a dynamic, the architecture quickly becomes overgrown with exceptions.
«Without standardization, each new partner or jurisdiction requires separate custom solutions — in logic, integrations, reporting, access. Instead of a unified architecture, exceptions appear in the code and dependence on a specific market,» explains SharksCode CTO Igor Morgunov.
The team faced a typical industry challenge: in the short term, customization speeds up launch, but in the long term, it makes the system fragile. A solution was needed that would discipline the architecture. GLI-19 certification was that solution.

The war for data centers has begun. What does this mean for the world and Ukraine?
On March 4, Iran used drones to strike an Amazon data center in Bahrain, citing its desire to “determine the role these centers play in supporting hostile military and intelligence operations.” The very next day, the United States and Israel retaliated by striking at least two data centers in Tehran, according to local NGO Holistic Resilience. Earlier, on March 1, the tech giant’s cloud unit, Amazon Web Services, was forced to report a temporary power outage at its Dubai data center due to hostile fire — and a resulting fire. In these few days, the world has finally realized what Ukraine has been saying for years - generally accepted security standards for data centers are hopelessly outdated.

"When you have a lot of things, but nothing to wear." Ukrainians have created an AI application that selects looks from photos of your wardrobe: how smart.outfit.ai works
Imagine the morning scene: you open your closet, look at dozens of things — and again catch yourself thinking that you have nothing to wear. Even though in reality your wardrobe is full. It’s just that most people wear the same combinations for years.
Ukrainian developers decided to transfer this task to artificial intelligence. They created the smart.outfit.ai application — a «pocket stylist» that analyzes the items in your wardrobe, suggests new outfits, and helps you combine clothes right on your smartphone.
dev.ua talked to the startup’s founder, Dmytro Balyuk, and analyst Kateryna Kravtsova about how their AI works, why hundreds of gigabytes of clothing images are needed to train models, how much the product development cost, and why the team does not plan to attract venture capital.

No Wikipedia. No classic PR campaign. No mentions in major media.
Thus began an experiment with the «Artifact Marketing» methodology, an approach that can be considered part of the new practice of Generative Engine Optimization (GEO).

Not ready to hire a CMO? Maybe you need to outsource – and why it works for Ukrainian businesses
Ukrainian business has undergone tremendous transformations in recent years. Companies have learned to work in conditions of complete uncertainty, quickly adapt to changes and, most importantly, to calculate their own resources much more carefully. In this new landscape, it has become obvious: marketing can no longer be just an auxiliary function that «runs advertising» or manages social networks. Today, marketing is the foundation of business strategy, which directly affects the company’s revenue, stability and ability to scale.

After the start of the war in Iran, the oil market opened higher, but without the expected panic. On Monday, quotes rose to $82 per barrel, compared to $72 on Friday.
This was announced by Serhiy Kuyun, director of the A-95 consulting group.
According to him, investment bankers traditionally predicted scenarios of $100–150 per barrel, but the market reacted much more restrainedly.

In the last week, the world’s attention has once again been focused on Iran and the Middle East in general. After another wave of mass protests and their bloody suppression in January, the situation in the country began to develop even more rapidly and unpredictably in late February. On the last day of winter, after a series of military strikes by the United States and Israel, the death of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who had ruled the country for almost 40 years — since 1989 — was officially confirmed. The day before, it was reported that his son Mojtaba had taken over power.

Vibecoding is not a toy. How I put together a working product in one day
Vibecoding is not a toy. How I put together a working product in one day
Vibecoding is a term that Andriy Karpaty introduced in early 2025. The idea is simple: you describe what you want, AI generates the code, and you adjust the result. You don’t write the code, you manage it.
Since then, the internet has split into two camps. Some say, «This is a revolution, we don’t need coders anymore.» Others say, «This is a toy, you can’t build anything serious on it.» Both are wrong.
I’m a product designer with a background in UX/UI. Not a front-end developer, not a full-stack developer. But over the past year I’ve released several working projects written mostly through AI-assisted development. One of them is a time tracker for freelancers — I put together in one day. From idea to deployment. And it works.

“We discovered a data leak from a top Oracle manager.” CEO Alerts Bar — about how hackers bypass 2FA and antiviruses and why 80% of attacks start with info stealers
Modern cybercrime operates as a full-fledged industry: viruses are sold on subscription, and stolen accounts are a regular commodity on darknet marketplaces. Dima Ashkinazi, founder of leak monitoring service Alerts Bar, explains what this ecosystem looks like from the inside. From info-stealers who quietly collect data to brokers who resell corporate access.
In a conversation with dev.ua, Dima tells why even antiviruses and 2FA often don’t save, how the «golden window» works after a leak, and how the incident with the compromise of a top manager’s account, discovered by his team, helped Oracle close the risks in time and avoid potential losses.

How do (bad) habits work? Case study: why short and “boring” solutions sometimes work better than a sudden burst of energy
At work, we have long learned to count almost everything: hours, KPIs, deadlines, burn rate, velocity. And we also seriously talk about productivity, mental health, burnout. But at the same time, physical condition often remains a «side effect» of work, not a part of it. It is generally customary to optimize processes, but the body remains out of sight as a resource, although it directly affects cognitive and creative workload. And both the person himself and the business as a whole, for which he works, pay for this.

"When the fund was founded, it took X effort to close a million-dollar fundraiser. Now it takes X8 effort." HR left IT to create a military aid fund. How the 1991 Charity Fund works
At the end of 2023, HR in the IT sphere Anastasia Sokhatska left her position at SoftServe to establish her own charitable foundation to help the military. 9 years of her IT career were left behind, and new, previously unknown, challenges arose ahead of her.
In early 2026, 2.5 years after the launch of the 1991 Charity Fund, the fund closes tens of millions of dollars in funds, providing defenders with transportation, drones, NRCs, and other equipment, as well as supporting «drone workshops» at brigades and helping veterans.

Technology predictions for 2026: AI, RWA, 6G
This year marks a point where several technology trends are beginning to intersect. AI agents are entering the economic space, RWAs are moving real-world assets onto the blockchain, and the development of 6G is preparing the infrastructure for the future economy. At the center of this transformation is the cryptocurrency architecture, which is becoming invisible and ubiquitous.
How exactly they converge and what this will lead us to in the coming years is in this article.
