The war for the sky begins in school. How Ukraine is losing the edge over the enemy in training children to pilot drones
While the Ukrainian Ministry of Education is reforming the subject "Defense of Ukraine", Russian schoolchildren are already massively learning to fly drones using state textbooks. In the occupied territories, Ukrainian children are forced to assemble FPV drones for the aggressor's army, and in Russia 240,000 students have been trained in drone piloting. Ukrainian schools for training UAV pilots are sounding the alarm and reducing operator training programs. We analyze the state of school education, which is not keeping up with the realities of war.

Conferences in the AI era: why human contact becomes even more valuable
To go or not to go? This is a question that many companies face when it comes to attending conferences. With the latest news about the development of artificial intelligence, a logical question arises: are conferences still relevant? A year ago, everyone was talking about the importance of creating user-generated content. But now AI can upload a picture of a person, add text, and it’s already demonstrating your product. So will the same thing happen to conferences? In my opinion, no. My name is Semen, I am a product marketing manager at Sitechecker, a holding IT company of Boosta. A year ago, we decided to resume intensive conference attendance. During this time, I have attended five events in different formats. In this article, I will share my experience and practical advice for those who consider conferences as a marketing tool.

"I have to live in a bombed-out house until I get the funds. And when it will be is unknown." dev.ua collected the experience of IT workers in using "eVidnovlennia" and prescribed a step-by-step mechanism for receiving compensation for damaged housing
Millions of Ukrainians live in housing that has been significantly damaged as a result of hostilities or enemy air attacks, and the number of such residential buildings is in the hundreds of thousands. The full-scale war is gradually approaching its fourth anniversary, and although the front line is moving incomparably slower than in the first years of full-scale, the problem of damaged housing is not becoming less acute, rather the opposite. Russia has significantly increased the production of strike drones, with which it «nightmares» not only strategic objects, but also the civilian population, so the housing of citizens is under constant danger.

Spinoffs instead of dissertations: the new role of universities in the economy
The topic of university innovation has been driving me for the last five years. And I know for sure: rich, strong, economically sustainable universities that not only teach, but also create innovative products and launch businesses — this is not fantasy. This is a long-term, but quite achievable goal.

From appearance to impact: how design is changing the game for startups
Most founders who are familiar with design through 5 handshakes think of it as a visual. But experience shows: design is not about aesthetics, it is about how the user perceives you, how you convey your message, and ultimately — how you influence the behavior of the customer. I will tell you why and how it works at each stage of startup development.

What says more about you than your CV?
As Head of Recruitment at IT company IdeaSoft, I review dozens of resumes every day. They are important, but I’ll be honest: a CV is just the tip of the iceberg. The most interesting things start outside of it. Here’s what says more about a candidate than the formal lines of a resume:

Are technology professionals allowed to go on vacation abroad by reservation? What documents are required from the employer, specific cases and legal opinions
Once upon a time, summer was considered a vacation season, and many of us even planned trips abroad for this time. Since the beginning of the full-scale war, everything has changed for the absolute majority of Ukrainians, and for the male part of the population, changes have occurred, first of all, in the legal sphere. Summer vacation trips abroad have become not a common thing, but a privilege for the «chosen ones». But is everything really so complicated if you have a reservation at your place of work? Especially since the State Border Guard Service itself said that it is possible!

Operation "Pavutyna" from the SBU: how it works from a technical point of view, what role did AI algorithms play, and why this case is important for the IT community. Technical analysis from EPAM and Neoversity experts
War is no longer just a battlefield, but a space where algorithms fight. On the night of August 4, 2025, Ukrainian drones of the Special Operations Center «A» of the Security Service of Ukraine (SOC «A» of the SBU) attacked the Saki military airfield in temporarily occupied Crimea. Result: they destroyed a Su-30SM (a fighter jet worth $35 to $50 million), damaged another plane, three Su-24 bombers, and an aviation weapons depot. This is the second high-profile operation involving the SBU, using AI and drones. The first was the unprecedented «Pavutyna», where for the first time in world practice, combat drones were controlled by AI and used open-source software. How it works from a technical point of view, what role AI algorithms played, and why this case is important for the IT community, are analyzed by Yuliana Degtyareva, Copywriting Team Lead at Neoversity IT University, and Yuriy Rybak, Senior Software Engineer at EPAM Systems and AI course instructor at Neoversity.

Conversion is the new king: how to boost lead generation through smart integration with Google Ads
Unfortunately, most Ukrainian companies still do not integrate their 1st party data with advertising cabinets. This is especially true for Google Ads. And the point is not in the size of the business: sometimes medium or small businesses build integrations faster than large companies, where they need to coordinate with security departments and prove that data transfer is secure. Yes, there is a trend — businesses are starting to understand more that the effectiveness of performance advertising depends on the quality of data that the algorithms receive and, for example, are starting to integrate conversions from deeper stages of the funnel or transfer offline conversions. But globally — there are still very few integrations, and this is a loss of opportunity.

Ukrainian IT companies have been complaining for several years about the difficulties in attracting customers due to the war. Customers are taking into account military risks and the possibility of uninterrupted work. Artificial intelligence is also gradually replacing entire teams from the market. Understanding this problem, developers with over 15 years of experience, Kyrylo Kozak and Vitaliy Drozhdin, have found a solution that helps companies find customers. They created the Getmany AI assistant, which automates the routine of searching for projects and significantly saves IT teams time, increasing their overall productivity. Currently, it is already used by Kyivstar and another one and a half hundred agencies that provide services on the Upwork platform. dev.ua tells how the Getmany service works, which the founders call AI-Copilot for Upwork.
