The reason for this phenomenon is another Russian shelling, which has caused numerous fires in various areas of the capital and in some places has led to pollution levels exceeding the norm by dozens of times. «Fight with robots, not with people» is one of the slogans of the Technological Forces of Ukraine, an association of Ukrainian gunsmiths that is approaching its second anniversary and has grown from its initial six members to several dozen members. The TSU mainly includes Ukrainian manufacturers of drones and electronic warfare systems, which are currently the main weapons of this war. How close the association has come to this and its other slogans in reality, who can get into it and who is denied, how close Ukraine is to opening up arms exports and whether society will understand this, and whether Ukraine should fight for arms export markets with Russia, dev.ua spoke with the executive director of the TSU, Kateryna Mykhalko. However, remote work has its pros and cons. dev.ua spoke with Oksana Petrenko, CHRO at SharksCode, about the advantages and disadvantages of remote work for IT professionals. The scammers created the meme cryptocurrency STONKS9800 (STONKS), which uses the name and image of the game STONKS-9800: Stock Market Simulator by Ukrainian developer Ruslan «Ternox» Salikov without his permission. He told dev.ua that he has already filed complaints against the meme coin’s developers, but he doesn’t really believe they will act.

The world is changing much faster than your imagination can prepare for it. And the main driver of change is artificial intelligence. I’ll start from afar. I am an active user of AI models. I constantly use about 10 models, in my portfolio there are already under 30. The average number of requests to different models per day reaches hundreds. The average monthly amount for paid AI models reaches $500. And as an active user, I am amazed by the dynamics of AI model development and the speed and depth of expanding AI capabilities. I became curious about how the current dynamics would change the demand for chips and energy consumption while maintaining the current dynamics of AI development. The result amazed me.

Ukrainian freelancers and agencies are being blocked on the Upwork platform. This is not just a loss of accounts, but also a source of income, which for many IT professionals is the only one. More than 100 cases are already known, including accounts with an income of $300,000. According to Kyrylo Kozak, an entrepreneur and former Upwork community manager in Ukraine, who is working on unblocking Ukrainian accounts and is cooperating with the Ministry of Digital Affairs on this issue, the platform has responded to his request and will begin unblocking. He also analyzed the blocking to identify key issues and the cities where IT users were most often banned. He also provided some tips on how to avoid this if you work during airstrikes and live within the range of electronic warfare.

Soham Parekh, a 24-year-old Indian programmer, worked full-time at seven different American IT and AI companies in Silicon Valley for at least three years straight. He worked remotely from India all the time, so no one noticed that Parekh was receiving pay from multiple employers at once. The mega-worker was exposed after a post in X by Suhail Doshi, CEO of AI startup Playground AI. «There’s one guy who works in 3-4 startups at the same time,» he wrote, not yet knowing that in reality the number of companies the IT guy worked with was almost twice as many. A few years ago, opening an account for a crypto company in Europe was a matter of a few days. In 2021–2022, it was enough to register a company in a jurisdiction with a basic VASP registry — for example, in Lithuania or Poland — and choose one of the crypto-friendly payment institutions. Most financial companies limited themselves to a formal verification of registration documents, business model and beneficiary data. LLC "Science Park "Zhytomyr Polytechnic" was officially registered on August 23, 2023. This afternoon, July 1, drones attacked the Izhevsk Electromechanical Plant «Kupol» in the Udmurt Republic, 1,300 km from the border with Ukraine. It is one of the main producers of the Tor and Osa air defense systems and the Harpy strike UAVs for the enemy army. One of the videos of the «Fluty» drone flight published on Russian resources shows that the drone does not have a chassis, which means it is launched not from the road, but from a stationary catapult or a special mobile transport platform. This improvement is likely to improve the aerodynamic characteristics of the strike drone and allow it to consume less fuel, which would increase the drone’s flight range or allow it to install additional payloads, as well as reduce radar visibility.
