In 2024, Sigma Software lost to Genesis as the best employer. Ukrainian IT professionals believe that service companies have better working conditions, but product companies have more interesting projects. How have the leaders of the ranking of the best IT employers changed since 2017?

Finding the right person who will be useful to the team and the project is the main task of recruitment specialists, regardless of the conditions prevailing in the market. This is equally difficult to do in a scarce market and in a market where there are a lot of candidates. Among talent hunters, the idea sometimes prevails that it is easier to find specialists in the employer market, however, as most of them assure, often the variety of candidates only complicates the search and takes up precious time. dev.ua spoke with recruitment specialists from key Ukrainian IT employers and found out what they expect from the market at Softserve, GlobalLogic, Ciklum, and leading product companies.

Why is it important to talk about habit formation today? The modern world requires us to pay more and more attention to productivity, time management, and self-development. At the same time, we see more and more visual noise around us, information that seeks to capture our attention. The digital age has brought new challenges, but also provided tools that help us cope with them. James Clear, in his bestseller «Atomic Habits,» emphasizes that it is small daily habits that shape our routine. And our routine shapes our entire life.

«For me, this is a life project,» says Serhiy Tereshchuk, CTO of DVL, in an interview with dev.ua about his new position, planning the company’s further development plans. Recently established after the merger of Datagroup, Volya, and lifecell, DVL is today the largest international telecom group present in Ukraine. It faces many challenges — from ensuring uninterrupted network operation during wartime and booking specialists to developing 5G and launching new products on the market. We met with Serhiy Tereshchuk and talked not only about the above-mentioned topics, but also about the use of artificial intelligence, the situation on the telecom market with small and medium-sized providers, and ambitions in competition with other mobile operators and companies.
