A few years ago, opening an account for a crypto company in Europe was a matter of a few days. In 2021–2022, it was enough to register a company in a jurisdiction with a basic VASP registry — for example, in Lithuania or Poland — and choose one of the crypto-friendly payment institutions. Most financial companies limited themselves to a formal verification of registration documents, business model and beneficiary data. Conditionally — «registered the company and opened an account.» This practice was typical for the stage of rapid growth of the Web3 industry.
